Re: Ibstock united u6's

Fair enough, but I stil think 6 years old is too young to be playing competitive matches. If he goes all the way to the top he will have been playing for 15 years when he is 21.

From 6-10 football should be about having fun and developing skills, how is it any good for the other team to lose 17-0?

Competitatve matches at such a young age is crazy

I agree will.
The games my boy's team play have been 'friendlies' for the last couple of years. Only start in a league next seaon, under 10's.

we are playing in the Leicester league under 7's ,this league by rights should not be ,due to most leagues starting at under 8's.

but most clubs agreed to do a under 7's to get them ready for the true league at under 8's

its only one game almost very weekend so im not too worried about it TBH ,if it affected my son in any way i would stop him playing TBH as anyone would .

I agree with you ,the game was no good for us at all in fact it didn't even give our team a workout ,as for the other team i felt sorry for them .

we where going to play them at home at the end of the month but we have agreed not to play them as they are no where near ready to play our 1st team yet .

so or second team is going to play them instead which should make it a bit better game for them .

ibstock united have 3 teams in this age group

Get in contact with a chap called Milan Mandaric, he knows a team who may be a little older but are certainly nothing to be scared of.
