Improved Contract for Nigel Pearson??

Maybe Milan 'The Man' should offer Mr Pearson a much improved deal that shows without hesitation how much this man is needed and how proud we are to have him as manager at our 'great' club!!!

He is doing a fine job, his target set my Milan is to reach the Championship first time asking, we are on the way but havent got there yet....once NP gets us promoted then he deserves to get a new contract and a pay rise.

Lets wait till the job is done and rightly deserved..Milan and NP will be thinking the same,

If he wants to go he will, but a new contract might make it less likely that he'll want to go. It could also mean the club gets more compensation if he does go (and will mean he gets more compensation if we sack him!).

They are either honoured or compensated for - that is the point that is being made. I'm not sure how you could force somebody to honour a playing or management contract; I don't even think it would be wise to do so.

Perhaps. I just find it baffling that certain people see him as a city legend after less than a season. He's done a very good job this season, but for people to suggest he should get a massive pay rise etc, or compare him to O'Neill (which I think someone did the other day) is mental. Let's get promoted first and see how he does next season...

This is a bit of a myth IMO. Contracts are changed all the time, but if someone completely failed to honour a contract they'd get their arse sued big time.
