If they'd installed proper modern turnstiles with card readers they wouldn't have to bother with season ticket books.

They managed to install them at Filbert St but came up with a bullshit excuse why they didn't do it at the Walkers Stadium when I'm sure the real reason is they'd got no money left.

That was great. Just put it in your wallet in your back pocket and no extra carrying space needed.

It doesn't need to be a modern ground to have more advanced tickets than ours. Even Southend has barcoded tickets that you have to scan at the turnstiles, and season cards rather than tickets.
