International Break

Perhaps we'll win this game, thus breaking the international break curse (which is all of one game, so far) then win the next game, breaking the Manager of the Month curse, should NP win it, but then lose the next one, creating two new curses.

If we do lose our next game it will be because we have played two good teams straight after international breaks (Millwall and then Oldham), although I still bet people will start questioning the merits of cancelling games.

I think we'll struggle against Oldham unless Pearson has spent two weeks really getting stuck in, in training.
They (oldham) seem to have a lot of old school nouse on their team with the likes of gregan, liddell and hughes easily a match for some of our lot.

It's almost like the anithesis of our team which is mostly youthful quality and reliant upon pace down the wings telling against tired teams.

I hope we play a cagey game and that gradel, king, Howard and fryatt have a blinder.

i'm a bit concerned that against the top 6 we need something extra in the middle of the park, other than Oakley and King
Perhaps Kisnorbo and Mattock will be sprung into the squad to pep up those holding the shirts already. Trouble being we don't have anyone breathing down Oakley and Kings necks for their shirt.

Have we gone behind yet this season and won? the only time i can recall us being behind was Milwall?

Sorry - I meant to say that I think it was unwise to cancel the Yeovil game - we should have been well capable of beating them at home without Adams/ king and our Bulgarian emperor of the middle. As it is we risk losing momentum if we don't win at Oldham.

Yeah you are possibly right but if had a weakened team out and Kishishev had a nightmare in the middle of midfield and Morrison came in for Tunchev and played poorly we would all be singing a different tune.
