Not his best game. Dragged down to the level of his team mates.

Doesn't surprise me as he's been off the boil for us for the last few games after an excellent start. Although the players do appear to want to be picked by their country, I think it's exceptionally bad for us that the likes of Vardy and Maguire are infected by the disease of the national team. I guess that there remains a lot of extra cash in it for England international players in terms of sponsorship deals and such like.

I have now successfully avoided an entire England qualifying campaign and my boycott will follow on to the World Cup which will be the first I've not given a shite about in my lifetime.

I don't want anything to do with it. The game is completely corrupt at international level and I don't want any more to do with the pretence of otherwise. I also cannot abide the whole England team, management, etc. Southgate is the Shakespeare of international managers. It's blindingly obvious that he'll never achieve anything. The players are always pale imitations of their club selves. So what is the point?

Ignore England. Ignore international football. Boycott anything to do with FIFA. Live a better life.

Joe Hart being number one for this long definitely back that up. Hopefully his advertising career ends soon and we can have a better choice by the summer.

Important question here. Who the **** is Winks?

Harry Winks is a professional footballer who has played just one more game for his club than he has for his international stable.

I'm pleased with his inclusion, I would sooner give young players the experience than pick proven failures. I would probably promote almost the entire under 19 setup tbh.

Interesting idea. Certainly this bunch arent going to win anything, especially based on what we've seen so far. Southgate seems totally out of his depth, heard a really telling conversation on radio the other day when they were listing prem clubs and asking if he'd get the job there.

Not many 'yes' responses.

I'm still trying to workout which team ill be supporting at the WC.

So far its looking like Costa Rica but we'll see who else makes it first.

Well (in the context of a meaningless game against a team I'd guess would not even be National League level) he looked the best, most committed player on the pitch, so if he's available for loan we should gerrimin. Maguire looked comfortable in a three man defence, even alongside Keane in bombscare mode, though he might as well have taken an easy chair and a long cool one onto the pitch for all the pressure he was put under. His day may come, probably the other side of the WC.

The team last night (which will bear little resemblance to the line up next Summer) looks very like an U-21 side, good levels of energy and an occasional flash of skill, but little in the way of adventure or crucially leadership ... Lord Harry wearing the captain's armband - why?

Need a lucky draw again before the inevitable 1-0 defeat to Iceland.

stable?

Winks has played 43 times for Tottenham, and once for England.

By stable to indicate games at all levels; there have been 25 of them. I believed Wiki when it told me he had played 26 times for Tottering Hotspurts.

If you’re including England games at all age groups, I hope you’re including games for Spurs under 8’s in your comparison.
