Don't get all the 'hate' that Gray gets.

He's one of the brightest English prospects, still really young and will definitely offer England another option they don't have at the moment.

People seem to expect him to match Mahrez's title winning form but seem to forget that it took Mahrez a good 2-3 years before he started to get to that standard and do it regularly.

Maddison has had a great start but it's only a handful of appearances so far, Gray has over 100 for us and is regularly the stand out player for the U21s - deserved call up imo.

I expect better than 1 in 29.

I hope Gray kicks on but he flatters to deceive currently.

I find it hilarious how easy it is to get into the England squad these days, it means absolutely **** all.

Somehow the FA have managed to devalue the national team in the same way as they have devalued their own cup competition.


Still, good for teams like us as players no longer have to move club to get a call up.

In defence of Gray, he has done well at u21 level and perhaps this is where his call up comes from, not from his completely average career at Leicester so far.

I’ve been a big supporter of Gray in the past, however I find myself struggling to back him nowadays. Having not achieved a regular starting position in the two and a half years he’s been here, shows how much he has flattered to deceive whenever he has been given the opportunity (and he has been given plenty).

For me this season is his make or break season. He needs to keep a regular place in the team and play well consistently (not just one good game in four).

It is easy to get frustrated with Gray but I do think his age should be taken into consideration when assessing his performances.

At 22 he is now the same age as Mahrez was when he first played for for us ... he didn't turn out to bad.

But people expect him to perform like Mahrez in that season, hence why he is massively under valued by a majority on here it seems.

I can only assume you haven't taken any notice to any of our games this season? He's started every game so far this season so your assertion that he hasn't made himself a regular starter is nothing short of complete bollocks.
