Cooper is once again trying to do a fake version of fake Pep and it isn't right at all.

At least fake Pep knew how to do it. Fake fake Pep hasn't a scooby doo.

We're far too spread as a team which means when we lose possession, we're immediately at risk and can't get the ball back quickly enough. Vardy is also crazily isolated. Neither full back seems aware of where they're supposed to be and Ndidi is wandering around so badly I'd swear he's suffering from dementia.

Despite this, there were openings because Ipswich are utter shite and there for the taking.

HT anyway and it was a half of two halves. Ipswich were far the better in the last 20 minutes or so after we dominated the opening exchanges....

We can't really do much about our defence as Okoli and Justin are also a bit shit, and tbf Ricardo has been not that bad anyway - owing largely to the fact that most of what they've done has come down our left.

Probably should take Mavididi off as he's been a bit under par, get El Khanouss on, maybe also Soumare for Ndidi or Winks and just put a bit more energy in that midfield. Hopefully he can replicate that type of performance against Man U in mid week.

Yeah, I’d replace Mavididi for Skipp and move Bouno wide with Ndidi further up the pitch.

Missed the first (reputedly good?) 10 minutes but since then we've been far too lightweight. There's no evidence we could control game - but at least we could try and pass forward to our own players.
Ipswich clearly up for it -while City look all kinds of confused as to what the plan is.

Yep, Kristiansen is playing as a 3rd CB.

Which is where Maresca wanted him to play but he didn't want to so was loaned put. Or that's what the story was, maybe Maresca just didn't rate him.

We controlled the first quarter but then when Ipswich started putting our midfield under pressure we have been found wanting … the ‘out’ of Fatawu and Mavididi has been poor. We will lose this if we keep giving Ipswich all the possession in the middle.

The problem with Kristiansen is that he's a limited enough LB. Making the poor bastard slot in a CB just seems cruel.

I'd leave Mavididi on for now, he's had a couple of decent moments but he does need to hold onto the ball better.
