Leicester City is delighted to confirm that defender James Justin has signed a new long-term contract with the Football Club to 2026.

The 24-year-old has been a standout performer for the Foxes since his arrival from Luton Town in the summer of 2019 – making a total of 54 appearances to date for the Football Club and scoring four goals.

An England youth international, Justin’s versatility has seen him perform in a number of defensive positions for the Foxes and earn a reputation as one of the brightest young English talents in the Premier League.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Justin said: “I’m just happy to extend my stay here and hopefully I can see [the fans] cheering us on in every game we have at King Power Stadium and all the away games and hopefully in European competitions for the next few years.

“There is only one place I want to be at now and that’s Leicester City. They’ve put great faith in me over the past year when I’ve been out injured. It just shows what a great club Leicester is that they’re willing to give me a new deal when I’m just returning from injury.”

Justin came through the ranks at Luton Town’s Academy, having been with the club since the age of seven and going on to make his professional debut for the team in a 4-1 win at home to Exeter City on the final day of the 2015/16 season – the same day Leicester City lifted the Premier League title.

The following season saw Justin establish himself in the team. He would go on to win two Player of the Season Awards as well as helping Luton win the 2018/19 League One title before completing a move to the Foxes.

His Leicester City debut came away to former club Luton in the Carabao Cup at Kenilworth Road, during which he scored in a 4-0 victory before going on to become a key member of the team over the next 12 months, as well as representing England at Under-21 level.

Injury cut short his 2020/21 campaign, but the highly regarded defender made his comeback in January 2022 against Tottenhasm and started in the five subsequent fixtures for the Foxes.
