Have clubs changed the rules on how far a player can live away from the training ground/club.

Citys used to be live in a 27 mile area ,i think they changed it to a max of 1 hour drive not 100% sure though.

Steve Howard lives next door to my boss, and he's about 38 miles from the Leicester area. In shitty traffic that would take atleast 1 hour.

Matt Oakley lives in a little village near Belper, that would be over an hour IMO.

If Villa where coming in for him, I think he would hold on and not buy a house in Whetstone! I'd imagine the pay packet they would give him alot more choice.

I think this is a personal choice of the management team. Craig Levein wanted everyone to live in or around Leicester but I've not heard how the managers since then have dealt with it.

When I was a kid I used to live in Oadby near Larry May, Ian Wilson and Jock Wallace, and David Gower lived a few hundred yards up the road (same road, different name). Theo Zagorakis also lived in Oadby.
