I live 3 doors down from Joe and he has had offers from West Ham and Everton, his dad (who he discusses all his footballing decisions with) does not want him to go to Everton so he is either going to stay for another season or he is off to West Ham

so he is either going or staying? great news, I'm also shocked to hear that Joe talks to his dad....

At 17 I was at the 'what the feck do you know' stage.

I am sure that MM would think that £2.5m+ would also look good in his bank account too.

Ignore the whingers, IrishFox88, your news is welcome, as are you. :038:

Well think of it what you will, I am simply telling you that City accepted bids form West Ham and Everton and that he is more likely to go to West Ham if any, at School he always fancied himself as a Hammer or at that type of club

To be honest, Joe wasn't the most gifted lad at school but he stuck at it and worked hard at it, then when he got kicked out of school for having one to many fights he got even more determined to make it, and well he obviously did.

That's heartwarming, and proof that determination goes a long way to realising success.

Welcome to the forum.
Though we know most of this anyhoo and have for months!

West Ham admitted putting a bid in for him in January.
Everton speculation has been going on all summer.

At least it won't mess up the squad photo when he leaves as it's easy to airbrush him out.

I'm not being dismissive, IrishFox. You're insight is interesting and I personally am glad you posted it, but i am genuinely pleased that there is no firm news that he is leaving as he would most probably be a very useful player to us this season.

I am not saying he is 100% going I am just simply letting my fellow blues know that Joe has three clubs wanting his services next season, them being West Ham, Everton and us. I don't really talk to him much since school but I do from time to time and that is what he told me, he said "I have had two offers, one of them are Everton but I ain't taking it because it wouldn't be the right move for me, but I have one from West Ham which I might take but I don't want to leave and I don't want to not play every week"

I heard similar a few weeks ago, indirectly from his dad.

I wish I knew somebody that could tell me stuff.

If you don't believe me then that is fair enough because anyone can come on an internet forum and pretend that they know Joe Mattock and who ever else but I have school pics of me and him, school football team photos with him and I also can recall events from the past which are not common knowledge and if you could ask him he would confirm them
