I was wondering whats happening with the board cus they are dishonest and unreliable and i know im pissed off with them and people were talking about a demo, idont know how every one else feels but i was a little annoyed at being told we had no money to buy joey but then have bought players that are not tested where as joey was? i think the position we have found ourselves in we need players who know what were about and not ones that have to get used to playing as a team, whats your thoughts?:102:

i agree but it would have cost £150,000 for Joey, plus his wages.

loans we only pay wages

I understnad they did everything in their power to loan him until the end of the season so they could buy him in the summer when funds were available. AZ wanted shot though and Joey was desperate to get out in the window.

What makes you so sure the board were being dishonest about Joey?

Maybe we didn't have the money until Williams left?
Maybe we didn't have the money until MM's takeover looked certain to happen?
Maybe we didn't want to sign a player on a 3 1/2 year contract who may not be good enough if MM takes over - or who may want too high wages if he doesn't.

Are you really saying that the board have never been dishonest? :102: :102:

a big thing to say dishonest.

Maybe they have held stuff back, but thats not being dishonest. Anybody got any examples of them being dishonest?

the board has never been honest with us, they never let us know whats happening with mandaric and the take over they never keep ( as far as i know, and yes i maybe wrong ) us informed when they are selling our players, The board is a joke, they are not looking after this clubs future they are looking at what ifs... what if we go down, we need to be positive and make them commitments by buying players we know we can trust. If joey was bought bk in even without other signings the walkers and staff behind the scenes would be instantly on a high there would be so much encouragement that the club wants to move forward and not hit the reverse button

They cannot say much can they, when negotiations are going through, and thats not being dishonest.
As for JG he did one flukey wonder goal and played better than the rest in a shit team. I would have thought todays signings, who ever they are will have given a boost to the club, just look at the reaction of the people on here.

Anyway welcome Jameslcfc, good to have another passionate fan aboard

cheers mate, im just a little worried about the position weve found ourselves in and it takes time for new players to settle in and unfortunatly that we do not have, especially as we have lost our mid man. dont get me wrong i am over the moon with the fact we have made signings it can only be a + so we will have to see how they settle in

Yes.

I once asked tim Davies for directions to the toilet. He sent me in one direction, about 20 metres further I turned around and he had his thumb touching his nose and wiggling his fingers in a childlike gesture to indicate that he had in fact deliberately sent me in the wrong direction.

To sum it all up (deep breath!) all of this is just a symptom of a wider problem. The problem being that the club is f****d.
We are a Championship club yet we can't afford 150 grand for a player.
That says one thing about the future.
We don't have one.
Not in the current climate with the new moneybags Sky/Setanta deal about to increase the cash gap between us & the Prem even further.
Thats why it's nothing less than a scandal that the Mandaric deal has been allowed to drag on the way it has, even the man himself was exasperated by it which tends to make you think that the delays were all on our side.
There are 2 probable reasons for this

1) The board were hoping to get back from MM some or all of the money they invested initially to save us from liquidation. If there's any truth in that they should obviously be run out of Leicester by a howling mob.I was unemployed at the time yet I forked over money to help in any way i could.I'm not expecting MM to reimburse me if he takes over!

2) Lawyers. It's highly likely that most of the snags are legal ones.
Most snags of this type are, frankly, devised by lawyers for the benefit of lawyers.
I've worked with lawyers of all types over the years & to be honest i've never met one i'd want to have a pint with.Money grubbing slime of the worst order generally (i'd rather have a pint with an estate agent...thats the level we're dealing with here)
But by far the worst are the ones who specialise in the kind of corporate law that's involved in a takeover like this one.
These guys & girls would sell their mothers soul for an Armani cufflink or a Gucci handbag & in these circumstances their services are always charged for BY THE HOUR.This means that while delays are a source of frustration for everyone else the bloody lawyers love it.

Whatever the problem,it needs to be sorted. It's obviously sad & unavoidable that MM's mum gets taken ill but as we all know the deal should have been closed at least a month ago so for the purposes of the club that should be irrelevant.
The whole Joey business should serve to remind everyone, including those that have doubts about Mandaric, just what a dire state this club is actually in.
We are basically screwed forever without someone to bail us out & in 120+ years of existence this is the 1st guy to offer to do it.
So,if the deal falls through (& it might, remember he was already getting the hump about the delays, now he's under personal stress,& if his mum dies he might just decide not to bother) we should find out who WAS responsible for the hold ups & make sure they never have any role to play in the future of LCFC until the end of time.

Hope that clears things up?

I need to go have a lie down.

Thats James Johnson of Filbert the Fox's christmas card list.

or

3) Joey is being viewed by lots of people wearing rose tinted spectacles and simply isn't as good as some people seem to think he was.

Agreed, he is better than what we've got at the minute, but if he's the maximum amount of ambition this club has got then I give up
