Agreed, he is better than what we've got at the minute, but if he's the maximum amount of ambition this club has got then I give up

His contract at Burnley lasts until 2010, I don't imagine he'd have signed a shorter contract with us. If we're taken over and are going to build a team for the Premiership he won't be first choice for long, he'll just be a burden on the wage bill like so many players the last few years.
If we don't get taken over we probably wouldn't want to offer a player such a long contract on highish wages anyway.

Ambition is great to have.I wanted us to sign Samuel Et'oo in the window...but Horsfield is the level we're at.
But to be fair I think he's a good signing for the battle we've got ahead of us to stay up.We now have a physical option in the box a the bloke has a very impressive scoring record at this level.

Basically Rob has signed 2 wingers & a physical centre forward in the window.Seems obvious how he sees us playing to get out of the mess doesn't it?

:icon_lol: All the evidence I've heard points to MM being the main culprit in the delaying stakes (although it does sound like it's been on both sides, and from outside forces as well). Amazing how many people have fallen for his media spin though....
