Johnstons Paint Euro 2008 Prediction Trophy - Final

The Final will be based on the results of the Euro2008 semi-finals and Final:

Germany v Turkey (Wed 25 Jun)
Russia v Spain (Fri 27 Jun)

+ the final (Sun 29 Jun)


Each of these games will be played at 7:45 (UK time) on the respective dates. Please PM your predictions to me - do feel free to send your predictions one at a time, if that is what you want to do (clearly you won't want to try to predict the final before you know who is playing in it). Just make sure I have your predictions before the kick-off time of the relevant match.

I'm pleased to be able to say that both Nottingham's and DV's predictions were received before kick-off.

With only three games in which to separate the two of them, I'm not going to publish their predictions for last night's match (although their scores will appear in the following post). They have however both forecast exactly the same score in tonight's Russia/Spain match, so they will be going into the final neck and neck.

A scoreline missed by both the participants - but it's congratulations to Darth Vodka - victory by the narrowest of margins!

And poor old Notts - always the bridesmaid!!

So with two identical (and wrong) predictions, it all came back to the fact that DV predicted that 8 goals would be scored in the three ties as against Nottingham's 6. The real total was 9 and Darth Vodka gets to take the virtual trophy home for 4 years. Don't forget to keep it clean, DV!
