Polish midfielder Bartosz Kapustka has signed for PKO Ekstraklasa side Legia Warsaw in a permanent transfer.

The 23-year-old moved to King Power Stadium in the summer of 2016 from Polish outfit Cracovia after impressing for his country at UEFA Euro 2016.

He appeared regularly for Leicester City’s Development Squad and made his first team debut in an FA Cup win away at Everton in January 2017.

Kapustka enjoyed spells on loan at SC Freiburg and OH Leuven while with City, but now returns to his native Poland to continue his footballing journey.

The Football Club would like to thanks Bartosz for his contribution and wish him well for the future.

A very strange situation from the start.

I don't think he's anywhere near as good as his sporadic international displays suggested.

oh thought he'd signed a 4 year deal initially, never mind

" The 19-year-old wideman joins the Premier League champions from Polish club Cracovia, signing a five-year deal to 2021"

What a complete ****ing shower of a signing that was

Hopefully the first of many out the door

I wonder what sort of money he was on? A 5 year contract probably adds up to a fairly decent wedge, for someone who didn't do anything for us.

Over one million pounds a year sound bad?

given his age not that much for a premier league footballer
£30k a week, according to various websites (no idea how reputable they are, but they all seem to say the same sort of thing). It's a fair chunk for nothing, I'd suggest.

there are players in the development teams of Manchester United and Man City etc that are on more then that that haven't achieved what he had at the point we signed him, the wages in football are mad, there is no justification for what anyone gets paid at Championship level and above

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of his career pans out as Warsaw are still a decent level and could be another like Kramaric.

Good luck to the lad though!
