Young Leicester City midfielder Kasey McAteer will spend the remainder of the 2022/23 season on loan with League Two side AFC Wimbledon, subject to league approval.
The highly rated 21-year-old, who has been with Leicester City’s Academy since the age of eight, made his senior debut for the Foxes in a 4-0 Premier League win over Newcastle United last season. He has gone on to appear for Brendan Rodgers’ side on two further occasions this term.
McAteer spent the second half of last season on loan in League Two with Forest Green Rovers, where he made nine appearances and will now further his football education with AFC Wimbledon, who currently sit 10th in the table.
Next up for the Dons is a visit to League Two leaders Leyton Orient on Saturday 4 February.
