what you saw happen yesterday :icon_wink

I've already written it hereabouts. I don't think it has any relevance to a discussion about whether he should play next weekend.

if he has dislocated it again hes definitely out, and if its a recurring problem he'll need surgery and will have a lengthy lay off (like me and theo!)

IMO Morrison should slot into the right back position if Gilbert isnt fit, a shame he stormed off on Saturday as this might stop NP from playing him.

Just a thought but how about a three man defence. Gilbert out injured, no real replacement and a very out of form Joe Mattock.

I would go with

Stockdale

Morrison
Hobbs
Brown

Gradel
Oakley
Kisnorbo
King
Dyer

Fryatt
Howard

Subs
Pentney
Berner
Asjadevic or whatever the fecker is called
Dickov
Chambers

maybe play PK just in front of the back 3 and just behind the midfeild ,that mite be a better option :102:

Yeah he would be my holding midfielder, which should give the likes of Oakley and King more licence to get forward.

Is Marc Edworthy so bad that we should be playing someone out of position instead?

I forgot we even had him :icon_redf

If he is fit and will slot straight in then obviously him, otherwise I would go for Morrison

I cant see Pearson changing the formation 5 games before the end of the season.

Neither can I but with the injuries, players available and the recent slump in form, IMO it would be best to select the 11 best players and a system that accomadates them. What we can ill afford is to have players like Edworthy coming into the side after months of not playing, or worse still having players being played out of position. This system accomadates our more experienced players whilst still maintaining balance and allowing us to play our strongest line up given the circumstances.

Also we have become predictable and a change in formation might just give us the edge and provide fresh impetus.

Or it could lead to confusion, whiff of desperation and end up with further negative results...
