Leicester's King out of Wales squad
3:21pm Wed 17th October :: Written by Sport

Leicester City’s Andy King has been ruled out of Wales’ under 21 clash with Malta tonight (Wednesday) after picking up a hip injury in training.

The 18-year-old former Furze Platt schoolboy had been drafted into the squad after impressing with a series of tenacious performances for Gary Megson’s side.

But King picked up an injury on Tuesday, and was driven back to Leicester last night, to receive treatment ahead of the club’s trip to Scunthorpe.

However King is a doubt for the game, and could be out for at least a week.

Clemence will be back this weekend not sure about Weso maybe Chambers Clem Newton flanked by Stearman and Sheehan, nobody would have guessed that would be our midfield, although Kish scored tonight ! (og )

Couldn't give a fcuk who's in or out, they've all just blended into the same passionless workshy faceless fcukers anyway.

Not one of them possesses an outstanding quality that the others are missing. All pretty much of a non descript muchness as far as I can see.

I've never experienced such a privelidge of paying to see such a bunch of faceless pricks.

That's such an accurate description of the last 4 seasons. Whoever we've had in - young, old, English, Scottish, Iranian, it's all blended into one horror show

What about last season?

And the season before?

Finally, Andy King, who has started the last two games in the centre of midfield for the City first team, was a substitute in Wales U21's 3-1 win over Malta.

Doesn't mention an injury on our OS
