He's certainly appeared totally unable to play alongside Clemence, which makes him somewhat redundant as Clemence is an automatic first team choice. You also wonder that Charlton, clearly set on promotion from day 1, why they would have released him. They probably saw he's lost the edge off his game (some players age prematurely), or they thought his game wasn't good enough to begin with. I've certainly been unimpressed with him; a suprise as when signed I thought he was going to be one of the better signings.

Come home from work to see we have given the scummiest team in england one of our only 3 midfielders when we have to play a defender there ourselves.


This club never ceases to amaze me, what a complete ****ing joke, everyone who had anything to do with this decision is a ****.

We have played a right back, a right winger (a ****) a little boy and another right back in this possition this season, and here is our club LOANING a central midfielder to another club who obviously know what to do when short in a possition.

Only 2 of the players you have mentioned are central midfielders though.

And if you call maybury, hellings, gradel, hayes newton, strength in depth your crazy.

Every one of the above is grade A toss, and nothing like a central player.

How much longer is it going to take us to realise that round pegs in square holes is a recipe for what we have served up for the last 4 years.

By the way, Newton and Porter made some good runs down the wings for the last 15 minutes, but why do we always have to go a goal down before the players decide to play?
