Crown was with Liverpool from 82-83 season but there was another major name on the shirts for a couple of seasons before.

Cov - Talbot. I don't know if that was their first official sponsor, but they had the Talbot logo on their shirt before sponsors were allowed.

Cellnet didn't join untill the Mid 1990's. there were a few small names before them.

RE Cardiff, Leekes have only done 2002-3. My sources show that there's been 11 different sponsors before them! (none of them a household name either) (not 'round my household anyway)
