I have sent an apology to PFKAKTF FOX for deleting his post, I hope he'll reconsider his decision.

I received a complaint from someone who said this thread was a deliberate attempt to wind me up - at the time 5 out of the 6 posts in the thread were off topic.

I deleted the posts instead of moving it because I was pissed off that people appeared to be deliberately trying to wind me up. I now accept that this was probably not the case, and I should have just moved the offending posts to general chat.

The five posts in this thread are the only posts that I've deleted recently, 99% of the time when a thread goes off topic like this I'll just move it to somewhere more appropriate, and I hope the other moderators will do the same thing.
I don't want want to stop people having a laugh, and I don't mind threads going off topic, one or two off topic posts are not a problem, but if a thread goes completely non LCFC (like this one did on Wednesday) either a new thread should be started elsewhere, or a mod should be asked to move it.

The reason the whole off topic thing came about is because of complaints I've received about people not being able to find the LCFC content because of all the off topic stuff, so as long as the majority (not 100%) of the stuff in the LCFC forum is about LCFC we should be able to keep everyone happy.

I think you suprised most of us there Webbo, the general consensus was that Steven had deleted it. Whilst the apologies are in full swing, although I didn't actually say it, I thought it was Steven so apologies to you Steven.

Thanks Jeff for the PM, explaining what went on and the reasons behind it, it was much appreciated. I hope now that the forum gets back to what it has been for the last 2 or so years that I have been posting, and no doubt before that, a forum that has interesting debate about our football club but also a place where people can come and have a laugh and a joke that helps forget the stresses and strains of everyday life.

I really would hate to see the forum lose it's humour, there are some really funny people on here who do bring a smile to my face. But also I do enjoy the serious debate's as well and that is what makes it such a great place to visit and post. Lets just hope that the last week or so has been down to the hot weather, the lack of serious football and a bit of boredom.

There is Internet access at the Fawlty Towers style holiday accomadation we will be frequenting. We will be on our hols for 2 weeks MK, so I am afraid I will miss the Macc game.

The content of PMs sent to me is confidential, so I can't say who has complained. Maybe they'd like to tell us here - if they've read this far.

A couple of people have said they won't come to the site any more because of the amount of off topic stuff in the LCFC forum.
