Arrant nonsense. There were buckets and collection boxes before the Trust was formed. Money was put into these to save the club, NOT so the FT could save the club.

The Trust had given out leaflets about an open meeting for its formation at the game prior to administration being announced, with its initial declared aim of pooling existing shareholders votes together to enable an EGM to be called to reveal the financial situation of the club

That meeting had to switch location to the Great Hall due to sheer numbers as it was held a few days after the administration announcement. Buckets at the next home game were organised by the Trust, with the declared purpose of helping to save the club, which is exactly how the money was used, however it would have been extremely unwise to hand money to the club immediately (as agreed by the administrator at the time). Gaining shares for putting the money into the club (like any other investor contributing more than £25k) was a shrewd move and a process utilised by Trusts across the football pyramid.

Maybe anyone who truly gives a **** should turn up to one of these meetings and voice their concerns?

It's been edited since then, although I'm not quite sure what's happened as it's now linking to an American politics website.

We're still having the problem with some images embedded from other sites not working properly. If this happens, the best way to fix it is to download the image, and upload it as a file instead.
