All of my questions and answers cam from an excellent book I got for xmas which has newspaper cuttings from 1908 until last year. I suppose it could be wrong but after all I am the quizmaster

I saw that book on eBay before Christmas. Is it any good?

I didnt buy it so I can safely say it isnt worth £40 but it is very good. On the downside its all clippings from the Mirror (which I detest) However reading about stuff from many years ago is great and it does act as a really good reference.
Nice to flick through to reminisce from time to time as its not just a 'stat book'

Was £40 the price? The eBay one went at about £16 IIRC. I nearly bid for it but the selleer couldn't find any name for the publisher and I didn't know what I would have been buying.
I'll certainly be in for one in the future on the basis of your review - providing the price is right.

Thats the price on Toffs where I beleive it came from (was an xmas present) At £16 you missed out on a bargain really. I'd pay £20-25 for it without hesitation. As far as the publisher goes, its not mentioned in the book anywhere, I have a feeling its slightly 'homemade' in as much as there arent many copies around and it was released by something of a niche company rather than a big publisher. Excllent quality though
