I believe it was a "secret" gig. Wasn't much of a secret though. Straight after Patrick Wolf I believe. Was probably space for a 40-odd minute set in the programme.

shit line up. artics set was shit. radiohead managed to bore me more than i though and didnt play creep.

on the plus dave grohl and josh homme played a suprise gig. and the sunday was a good day but still by far the worst festival ive been too.

seemed to have multiplied the dickhead factor as well

I went to Leeds last year, after having 3 years off, with Reading being the one before. Last year the twats were so bad I shan't be returning. Full of indie/emo tossers. The problem with Leeds as well is that it attracts the people from Geordieland and the Scouse, so everything felt a lot more aggressive and on edge, wheras Reading is much more mellow!

Didn't think it was that much of a surprise. "Them Crooked Vultures" have been scheduled to play for a little while, I believe.

Also, the other guy is John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin.

They played Leeds on Friday, and Reading Saturday.

I want to try to get to Lollapallooza in a few years, looks a cracking festival!

I had a good time - never worked at a festival before so was good to see it from the other side. Didn't have to put up with wankers on the campsites and didn't have to pay. Could take drink into the arena too so made for a pretty cheap weekend.

Thought Arctic Monkeys were toss, favourite performances were Kaiser Chiefs (didn't expect them to be as entertaining now as they were when they first strated but they are a good live band, good value), Placebo, Ian Brown and Middle Man (small band on the introducing stage but will be good).

Fires on final night were nothing in comparison to other years - didn't feel intimidated once - security seemed much better.
