i don't like the line-up so i won't be watching, although The Fall were playing yesterday is there anywhere i can see highlihts of that?? I love The Fall!

There were highlights of The Fall yesterday, showing 'Themetune From Sparta FC' and the crowd were feckin motionless, a real shite crowd.

Ah, shame i missed it! :icon_sad: Oh well , i want to go and see The Fall live at some point before i die, i hope there's a crowd who sings along then, there usually if it's one of their gig, but at festivals i expect some people in the cowd had only heard a couple, if any of there songs. I've only got 3 or 4 of their albums mind, but they really are not the band they were anymore!

I agree they are not tha band of anymore, the line-up changed so many times and Mark. E. Smith's voice has got worse. He forgot some lines to the last song of the set. The crowd were full of overszied sunglasses wearing twats. Who knows maybe the Fall could do the Summer Sundae Weekender in Leicester, they got the Blockheads to do it.

Another thing, its's pissing me off that music festivals are slowly turning into fashion shows.

Haha, yeah Mark E Smith does come across as abit of a twat, maybe he's attracting the crowd like him. I would love to see their older stuff live though The Nation's Saving Grace & The Wonderful & Fightening World Of The Fall are both great records

One thing i hate though is how the media draws up all these comparisons to them, like Pavement always get compared to The Fall, but Pavement were 10 times the band The Fall ever were

it was fecking awesome, sept for the rain last night, fecking tent leaked bloody asda! top dollar absolutely knackered now though

got ****in drenched moshing to Muse, helped the sunburn that i had though!

and you gotta love meeting randoms around the campfire

I got an 8 quid tent from Tesco that near enough caved in on Wednesday night. Had a great time, here's a list of the bands i went i see and what i thought,

The Quiet Kill-Expected them to be good considering half the band were part of Million Dead, they were fairly bollocks
Enter Shikari-Fairly Average
Sikth-I like them but it weren't a great show at all
Mastodon-Decent
Slayer-Were good, didn't seem totally into it though
Placebo-Were decent
The yeah yeah yeahs-Enjoyed it, laughed when it appeared she had got tape stuck in her hair
Lightyear-Great
Towers of London-Twas a laugh, i swear they weren't playing guitar
Dirty Pretty Things-Absolute shite
Feeder-Great
The Futureheads-Not bad
Wolfmother-Big daft rip off of Led Zepp but still enjoyable
Flogging Molly-Great
Aiden-Not amazing but were they ever going to be
Coheed-Decent, slightly self indulgent last ten minutes but did show they were excellent guitar players
Be your own pet-Not a big fan before i went but they put on a good show
Eagles of death metal-Good old fashioned rock n roll, really enjoyed it
Muse-Not as good as i expected
Rise Against-Lots of this type of punk sounds very samey and they were no exception
Send more Paramedics-Had a fun time in the big circle
Municipal Waste-Were decent, i thought there might have been more people there though
The Bled-Average

The Fall were true innovators back in the early 80s and Pavement did take some of their elements (especially lyrically) and then combined it with their favourite bands from the Chapel Hill 'scene' in the early 90s. That's not to down play Pavement as a band, I think they were fantastic, especially live.

It's a shame the Malkmus solo efforts have been so disappointing, in fact I think Spiral Stairs has made the better records since the split.

Anyone of you festival visiters see the Klaxons?

caught about 20 minutes was quite impressed,

giant drag, milburn fratellis (again) racontuers, plan b, larakin love, and many others impressed me very much:038: :038: top draw im absolutley ****ed though:icon_bigg
