Just wanted to start a thread saying how utterly irritating I find them to be. They were over 100 million pounds in debt, which fair enough was cleared in large chunks by selling off their better players, but despite still being 20+ million in debt they were still able to bid for every player available (Healy for example). And what do they get out of it all...bailed out!
Clubs like Leicester have to go through administration, have transfer embargos slapped on them and come within hours of going out of buisness, but Leeds United can carry on spending despite the fact that they were on the brink. And there is always some multi million pound crony to come along and bail them out. Why? Because they are a 'big club'. Why exactly are Leeds United bigger than us? What makes them extra special, because they certainly owe a lot more than we do. Yet there is no white knight on a beautiful white steed to save us from admin or any problem we have ever had. Leicester City have to walk alone, and we are still not worthy of being a 'big club'. Hell, even Brum now think they are big.
Sorry for this thread. It is just a bitter drunken rant. Leeds P*** me off something rotten, and I just wanted to share it. I hate the fact that they were reckless, and despite the fact that they were on the brink they still hadn't learnt their lesson and were buying players like Healy. I think it totally wrong that they should not suffer any consequence for their recklessness.
Yes, the same could be argued of Leicester, but we had to pay in the respect that we are still paying the money back. Our payments were restructured and we went into administration. Administration that we are still paying for on and off the pitch. Leeds just had the slate wiped clean today and will suffer no consequence or ill effect of their recklessness.
