I think it's almost indisputable that if you were to ask all 23 members of the England squad what their primary position was, none of them would say they were a left-winger.
Most people I'm sure would agree that this is not an ideal situation to be in, and it got me thinking, who exactly are the best English left-wingers out there?
In other words, how far down the Premiership table would you have to go to find a team where an English left-winger was in the starting line up for most matches? Is it just Stuart Downing? Is there any one else who could be good enough in the future? Discuss. :icon_wink
