Were we ever really in it though?

We were a mouse being played with by a cat. We had 3 shots all game and one on target..Those stats include the penalty.....
Does the penalty not really count then?

Well here is what he will say:

1. Blame the refs, particularly for the Mavididi penalty shout

2. We never quit and stayed in the game throughout. The lads kept working.

3. They’ve got a lot of quality and we could have got something out of the game.

Another thoroughly unenjoyable match. Thanks City!

My first comment is about the number of empty seats today. It was very obvious that there are people who can't be arsed turning up. It's also obvious that we're not selling games out because the club have overpriced tickets so much.

The atmosphere was horrible. The only positive was calling Fofana a **** several times. I left well before the end.

That's a full preseason and three international breaks that Cooper has had to impart his ideas and a game plan. I am yet to see anything to indicate that the players have a coherent tactical approach to any game. There were (again) many instances where players simply didn't know where to be or what to do.

Chelsea toyed with us. They had several more gears and could have scored at will really. They were in energy conservation mode.

We were shit.

El Khanouss was easily our best player. When he has space in a wider position, his movement and passing are obviously a class above the rest of the team. He must start every game now.

Soumare is the only other player that can come away from today with any credit.

All the defenders were appalling. Skipp was awful.

I'm going to have to really push myself to go again to watch this drivel. It's just not good enough.

To be honest, many of the players look like they'd rather be elsewhere too.

Skipp and the all the defenders were a special kind of shit today. Seriously not good enough.

The observation of the players looking lost, annoyed or generally disinterested can’t be ignored.

I reckon Vards and Wilf might be having a chat with the leadership soon.

But they had so much fun training in the snow. I know cos’ the club social media showed me

I absolutely could have gone today. Even had a look yesterday to see what the ticket situation was, but saw it was priced at £72 for anywhere I wanted to sit, so didn't go.

I went to see the Blossoms the other week (on a Friday night) for £35 and it was extremely enjoyable and included a really good support band. My whole night cost less than £72 Inc a few beers with mates.

When you start treating people like customers and not like fans, they'll start treating you like a business that needs to win their custom.

Yep, at £72 they can **** off especially when I have to factor in a 6-hour round journey and to cap it all off, a shit performance.

Vardy was very angry when he came off but I thought it was about the ref and linesman who were continually conned by chelsea left back every time we attacked.
