The gap to 5th is a big one now though, 9 points off Reading. It's all just a battle for 6th now it seems. 6 teams in my opinion battling for that one spot, from Leeds down to Burnley.

Even if we beat Reading, I doubt we'll catch them.

Reading are in good form, can't see them dropping it. Swansea are doing ok and have a nice gap. It's the Leeds place that's up for grabs, especially with them looking a bit suspect at the minute.

Even if we did make it, I don't thinkour record against the top few teams has been great this year so I wouldn't fancy our chances.

Disappointing but at the end of the day, we only have to think back to what could have been after the first handful of games. Next season will be interesting, with alot of our regulars being loans we could wind up being a lot weaker next season if we can't get the likes of Naughton, Yakubu, Kamara, Vitor back...

We don't have as many games to play so I don't see that as such a daft comment really.

If we aren't capable of beating Palace, Boro, Cov etc then really we just aren't good enough. Not going to grumble though, we have had much worse ends of season.

No but probably the worst game I'd seen live all season. That's including FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round and Conference North.

One side playing at the pace of a milkfloat, another playing the tortoise formation as used by the Roman Army.

We're not good enough, entering the playoffs would just lead to a more stinging disappointment at the end of the season.

Some shocking performances tonight. Really ****ing annoyed that I bust a gut to get over after work, to watch that pile of shit.

Yakubu, if you venture on here and see this, wake up you lazy **** and put some effort in.

Oakley put a decent shift in, however from about 78 mins he was chugging around like a 30 stone bloke who smokes 40 a day. Thought Bamba and Mee looked comfortable at the back.

The only thing to look at is that the next 3 games should all be against teams that dont park the bus and play the shockingly-shit tactics that we saw tonight from Palace and against Portsmouth.

It should be quite open. Season isnt over, but honestly we dont deserve to be in the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see their goal again. I thought the shot was innocuous and Weale had his body properly positioned so was shocked when it went in.
Wellens had the poorest game I have seen from him for a long time.

I was surprised that Howard came on for the Yak. It seems to me that Yakubu is always likely to find a moment of magic.

In the first half Oakley got a right rollocking first from Stowell and then from Sven for being too far forward - he will have been glad to score the equaliser.

Mee was IMO our best player.

All in all not a good game. Credit to Palace who got a point away to a more talented team..
