Fantastic results and two wonderful goal from two extremely talented players.

Puel spoke of wanting to seduce Mahrez into staying when he joined - I wonder how that’s going? He certainly isn’t pandering to Mahrez, he’s not afraid to take him off, but he’s got Mahrez playing his best football in a year and a half.

Result more than makes up for West Ham - I’d expected 3 points from the 2 games, we’ve got 4.

From what I saw, Choudhury did really well, when he came on.

He was positionally naive and was often caught between two players.

It was a big gamble and to be honest I don't think he was up to the task, however, the experience will have given him a good experience and helped ease him into the big stage.

The manager knows he might need him over the upcoming period so all in all it was a good move, although only because we held on.

Yep, here's some good ones from only the 1st few posts.

Faith in manager back at Shakespeare levels.

Back to checking our relegation odds.

As shit as shit can be

Utterly clueless from a totally clueless manager.

Absolutely wank

I'm struggling to think of worse match I've seen. Both teams should be docked points.
.

Nothing over the top here, the new manager deserves it all after his utterly pathetic start of 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat against the eventual league winners.

Nope, all reasonable and level headed.

He did look a little like a rabbit caught in the headlights, but he made a couple of nice passes and put in a very important challenge.

He also wanted the ball and made some nice, crisp passes, that kept possession when we were trying to kill the game off. Obviously he has a lot to learn, but he'll only get that by playing.

I agree, positioning is the main concern but it's all good experience.

If it went wrong I can just imagine the flak the manager would be getting.

He appears to have a very good example to study, in Iborra, who is looking class at the moment.

If Puel keeps bringing through youth players this year as a fan I’d be delighted.

As shit as Rose was yesterday, Chilwell will be desperate to make left back his own in time for the World Cup.

Barnes, Hamza, Knight, Thomas...Gray, Chilwell, Ndidi. Looks good.

Crazy to think Choudhury and Ndidi are the same age. What a prospect Ndidi is.

Be fair, they are quotes out of context.

Make no bones about it, the WHam match was dire. A real shitfest to which both teams contributed. An advert for Premier League football, it was not. To be fair, most criticism reflected that and was of the game.

I personally was not critical of Puel, though I admittedly could not understand the absence of Shinji.

I must say I was a better player than Dele at South Wigston Working Mens Club reserves. probably as true a statement as his, but think he may have struggled a bit on South Wigston park at the end of November. Ps Regards to any former players who may read this.

And to think people on here were stating he was not good enough at the beggining

Because he looked lost at the beginning. Completely off the pace.

I hold my hand up, I was one of those who wondered why we'd shelled out on him, but I'm glad my concerns were unfounded. You hear talk about 'match fit' and 'match practice' but I genuinely had no idea how much difference such things make. Iborra is a different player to the one I witnessed on his debut - and the best thing is that it's only taken a couple of games for me to see his worth to us.

If you saw it from day 1 then fair play to you.

Does that put Vardy at 100 league goals in 216 games? Not bad at all if that's correct.

Unbelievable. What a spot from Mr. Walsh.
69 according to Football 365. Some of the pundits are including his goals for Fleetwood - they were a non-league outfit at the time.

I don't see anything 'hysterical' there. I see a reaction to an utterly dreadful performance during which the manager's substitutions were unfathomable, negative and ineffectual.

Maybe that reaction is no different in principal to the one in this thread waxing lyrical about how wondeefully brilliant we were which, of course, we were not (albeit we were markedly better than in recent times).

isn't he a holding player and was asked to go on and play Shinji's role, something I'm not sure he's done to much

It was totally mass hysteria.

It wasn't a an utterly dreadful performance. We played some great football in that first half which was continued last night.

The substitutions were understandable, positive and effectual.

Mahrez was ineffective in the second half, gave the ball away far too easily and was replaced.

Once Chilwell came on we started to cause WHU problems again.

Putting Slimani on was also a good ploy.

We got a point against a side fighting for their passionate crowd and for a new manager.

It was a great result. Anyone who thinks they were just going to roll over and die is deluded.

Great to see us all over the back pages again today.

But it was all about how Spurs missed a so called host of chances while we were merely hanging on.

In fact we could and should have beaten them with 5 goals. Okazaki should have scored with his header, so should Vardy with his run at goal and then Gray's pass to Slim was atrocious (bit ironic when yesterday Gray was saying to the press how we need to improve our final ball!).
