Best performance we've seen for a long time. Well deserved. Defensively pretty solid whilst still creating good chances. MOM - Ricardo for some great defending. Numerous important tackles made in the match.

I don't agree it was a good performance, gave the ball away too many times and if not for some poor finishing from Watford it would have been a different story.

It’s bizarre to think we are seventh. Any other season other than 15/16 we would be considering this to be a superb start to the season. Yet we’ve not really beaten anyone of consequence.

Important win today, as BN said in the pre-match we have to capitalise on these home games.

Seem to be getting more solid defensively.

The second goal was class. What odds on an early goal from us and a ****ing stupid red card not from us? 5000-1? Watford should have scored a few...some proper shit teams about this season. They're 10th ffs.

Watford had chances don't get me wrong, one particularly clear cut one from a dodgy corner of ours but on the whole I think we defended very well. Watford had 62% possession today. Maybe we should stick to what we do best until teams start sitting back on us but it's not always so easy. Was particularly chuffed with the closing down today as well, it was better than we've seen from us in some time. Over all we can take a lot of positives from that one going forward - keep it up!

There were some excellent performances today. Ricardo, Morgan, Maddison, Albrighton, Ndidi and Mendy were all superb. Vardy wad a nuisance all game and was much Better than of late.

Iheanacho's cameo was of comic value; nothing else.

Thought Wes and Ndi’di were both spot on.

We looked dangerous going forward for the first time in ages.

It was, dare I say it, entertaining.

Is it just me being an old miserable **** or.....is the league full of proper shit this season? We've played some shit recently but there's little or no difference between them..... Cardiff (who everyone accepts are a shite championship side) and supposedly better mid-table duffers like Watford, Brighton and Wham. All absolutely ****ing shit. We've played 10th, 11th and 13th recently and they probably will all stay up. I'm a big Puel critic but at least we're not them.

Great gesture by Top for the Watford fans. Classy as ever in response to a terrific flag pre-match. Lovely stuff.

The game was quite un-Puel-like. We moved the ball forward quicker and were less concerned about retaining possession. It felt a bit bizarre being in front at home. It seems like a long time since we were comfortably in front in any game.

Despite this, I thought the scoreline flattered us. Watford were generally the better side except in the area where their wastefulness in front of goal was extraordinary (Success and Gray both missed two fairly easy chances).

Ricardo was excellent for us. Mendy too. Much needed three points.

As with the England team, we only can only say we are improving and a better team when we actually beat teams above us as well as below us.

Man City and Liverpool are good sides. Chelsea and Spurs are okay. Arsenal and Everton a bit meh. Everyone else is average to terrible.

There is an issue for me with paying players millions to lose every week. The worst teams in the Premier League have a lot of players that are nowhere near good enough.

However, worse even than the players are the managers. The standard of management outside the top three of four sides is absolutely terrible. Where is the incentive to do well when you get paid millions for failure? Puel is a case in point. I don't think he gives a shit whether he stays in the job or not.

I thought we were terrible defensively in the second half. Watford has loads o space in our box, they were just too incompetent to turn it into chances, let alone goals.

It was good in general. The first half was as well as I’ve seen us play for some time. Watford came at us more after the break as you’d expect. Our disorganised defence meant that it took a while for me to feel confident that we’d see it through.

Maddison has a lot of talent. He’s also a bit of a div and needs to stop getting himself silly bookings.
