Was there today and I’ll never say a bad word about Hamza again. His first goal line clearance in particular shows how committed he was. He sprinted half the pitch to get himself on the goal line.

I wasn’t too happy the way our defence left Micky Johnson unmarked for that chance. At the time I blamed Hamza but might need to rewatch.

We gave Johnson far too much room while he was on the pitch.

He looks a decent player Micky. Brendan doesn’t rate him to start him in a pub league though.

I was actually driving for the first half so haven’t seen it. I certainly wasn’t blaming him. The summariser on talk sport reckoned he’d spotted the keeper moving and tried to hard to push it beyond his reach.

Looking at this again, he did an excellent job of being back on his feet in literally a second after he had blocked the ball before swiftly heading it over again. It's that energy and focus that made sure he was ready for the second one. It was like a goalkeeping drill.
