We absolutely dominated a team way, way beneath us, but we did make ****ing hard work of it in the first half. Sweet Jebus, it was proper shit.

Yet again the change around at half time cracked it open. Ricardo pushed right up next to Fatawu, Ndidi pushed up right next to Mavididi (who was shite, by the way), and KDH running across the middle between the two of them. They didn’t have a clue how to handle it, and we should have gone on to score four or five. Sadly we took our foot off the gas, which was a bit daft, really.

Fatawu and Faes stood out by a mile, plus the second half version of Harry Winks. Also thought Justin was pretty awesome when he came on.

I bloody love watching Fatawu. He stitched their left back up so badly they had to take the poor ****er off at half time. He’s a proper talent, that one.

Just turn up at half time for the Rotherham game, and save yourself the pain, I reckon

Few empty seats tonight, which is another shame, plus the usual exodus near the end - albeit it was 85 minutes tonight, rather than 75. Tossers

Very much enjoyed that second half - such a pity about the first. Ho hum
Agree with most of what you say though I'd add Ricardo & Wilf to your roll of honour. I thought both had greater impact than Winks. As for "Mavididi who was shite..." I'd qualify that by saying that it's true he was ineffective all night but I wouldn't put this down to him having an off night, I'd put it down to their full back... he was BRILLIANT and totally snuffed out Stephy. He caught my eye early on & I watched him closely at times. He was also very good at driving forward. A great talent that I'd put on my transfer radar. I believe (not sure) that he's an Arsenal loanee. True or not, he was excellent.

Having had time to reflect, that was another very good City performance. We're taking time to move the ball quicker, but when we do it is working a treat. A tactical switch at HT, pushing Pereira forward created more overloads and 80% possession eventually tires the opposition out and space/mistakes materialise. Credit Millwall for making it messy but eventually the quality told. Fatawu, Ndidi, Jannik, Faes were excellent and Mavididi was completely shutdown by their fullback. Oh, and Millwall love a tackle/foul - at one point it looked like they might commit more fouls than % possession !
