Surely if this is the case and the EPL are confident that they've got us this time, they could just drop the appeal to an already failed charge and do us good and proper in the here and now. That suggests to me that they're not likely to actually win either way, though the affect on our transfers that they keep trying could be bad news in itself.
Yes I agree, I thought most of the comment around the time was that they were unlikely to win any appeal.

Indeed. And any bitter or spiteful adversary might well take solace in that. Not that I'm suggesting either the EPL nor EFL are that. Nor motivated to achieve it either, obviously.

But, yes, in all seriousness I do wonder how detrimental to us this linkering smell is. For transfer business and otherwise.

So, was the T argument a red herring? Can the EPL revisit the 2023/24 situation once the matter of jurisdiction is resolved? More questions than answers. It rumbles on but we're good for now.
I think you could be right in the club leaking it first to ward it off?

And as for the Man City charges, well, ask us again in ten years time.

“Got away with it…”

Mmm… not exactly wrong is he - twice now we’ve farted in their faces and run away laughing, masking our complete and utter financial incompetence

Simon Jordan saying Simon Jordan like things shock. That, I can handle. It's those that nod along that baffle me. They'd rather hate us than question the rules.

I think Simon Jordan talks a lot of sense, and I don’t disagree with what he has said there either.

I hear what Steffan Borson is saying, re Leicester. It really does sound (to me at any rate) that the EPL are on a hiding to nothing by chasing this jurisdiction issue.

And Jordan likes word salad. It doesn't make it sound (again to me) that he actually understands the argument.

Edit: and fair play to Jordan, the admission of "we'd have done the same" with a "got away with one there" shows a genuine appreciation of where the club is at. The issue is so big (revenue wise) that no club (repeat, no club) would not use every means available to them to avoid sanction.

This one is actually worth watching if you're confused.

**** me. Right, I’ve just watched that, in the interest of seeing what was said. What’s the point on having an “expert” on there, if Jordan is just going to interrupt him all the time, only to be told continuously that he’s wrong?
