I missed the first 25 minutes but I thought we were pretty good. 2/3 nil would have been a fair reflection. The centre backs and central midfielders were very good. Mahrez was a different class.

Burnley were good without particularly threatening us, always looked like we'd be more likely to score. Mahrez and Gray unlucky. Harry at the back had a good game.

Played better in the second half than the first. Brady getting injured made Burnley less of a threat.

I thought we absolutely battered them. Thoroughly enjoyed that performance. And every single player is on their game at the moment. Some of our stuff coming from the front four is absolutely superb.

Chilwell absolutely spot on. Albrighton and Vardy too.

Big awesome imperious as usual.

And Mahrez is just absolutely different class.

I’m delighted with our progress. Claude in.

Mahrez and Maguire were exceptional for me. Nobody had a poor game and our management of the second half was exceptional. They wouldn't have scored given another hour.

Missed the first 20 minutes. The rest we were BASTARD AWESOME!!!

What a top performance. It wasn't perfect nor pretty but we had steel, determination and desire.

Really looking forward to the future.

Thrashed them 1-0. Wasted some set pieces, but probably deserved a few more goals. We should finish above both Watford and Burnley, but Dyche has done an amazing job there.

Yes, Albrighton's corners were dreadful.

A note on Burnley; they looked toothless without Brady. He's a very good player and I wanted us to be in for him in the summer. I'd be delighted if we were in for him in January - he's the kind of hustling nuisance that would do well for us.

It is interesting listening to Puel after the game. He seems very level headed and dare I say it, Ranieri-esque in his groundedness. He also picks out the smaller details that need addressing which in encouraging.

Most impressed with that, both performance and spirit. We looked like a confident team that enjoys playing football. Bodes well.

I only caught the last 3 minutes but we looked good, could have had a couple more in the 3 minutes I saw.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Could and should have had a few more goals in that. Woeful corners but another win that I’ll take.

Mahrez was magical again, unlucky not to get a goal.

Great result. Burnley were flying.
Whisper it quietly but we are also managing our squad well. Fuchs, Okazaki and Iheanacho will be chomping at the bit if they get a chance and then Silva can come in in Jan and add an extra dimension / give us the ability to play another formation.
If we can take 6 points from Newcastle, Southampton, Palace then we will be on course for a top 8-10 finish.

Terrific week for us. Six points from two tricky home games is very pleasing. We're now nearer to the top four than the bottom three and that's how it should be with the quality of squad we have. After a disappointingly sloppy start to the season, we seem to be finally getting somewhere.

The most interesting thing for me at the moment is just how much scope there is for improvement in this team. There are so many things that we could and should do better and yet we're still good enough to pick up results and generally look a solid team.

Our defending of corners in the first half was awful. I was hoping that we'd put Maguire up on the half way line for them as he was no use whatsoever at the back (he improved in the second half). So many times, I'm grateful for the defensive skills of Morgan and Simpson. My other annoyance is with our distribution. If we are going to attempt to pass better and retain possession better then Schmeichel either has to improve massively or go. Perverse as it seems, the same goes for Morgan and Simpson, they're just no good on the ball. We just cannot be effective at passing in our own half with those three.

I still think we'd benefit from playing three in midfield and I eagerly await the introduction of Silva. Another experienced and composed player in there will make a lot of difference. Mahrez was a delight today too. He is our magician and we're half the team without him.

I still don't know what to make of Puel. He is a tactical manager and when it's going well, he knows how to keep it that way (unlike his predecessor). He's struck very lucky to inherit a very good group of players and it's his job to develop them and help them to fulfil their capabilities. He's also been fortunate to go in front five times out of six. We've been a different side when we go ahead for a long time now. I'll wait to see if he can influence us when we're behind before getting too carried away.
