Who can forget those games in the Anglo-Italian Cup, the Anglo-Scottish Cup and the Texaco Cup.
Actually who can remember them tbh.
I just about remember going to one or two in the 70's

I remember the ZDS Cup where we played Notts Forest (or County) away and it pissed it down. I am remembering 7,000 away fans singing in the rain and Paul Fitzpatrick scoring...I think we won...!!!

As far as I can remember we played in three Anglo-Italians and only in the first did we play against Italian clubs. Grimsby, Newcastle, Peterborough and West Brom may have had an Italian or two in their ranks (though I doubt they all did) but that does not count them as Italian clubs.
