City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson makes three changes to his starting eleven for the visit of Championship leaders Brighton to King Power Stadium.

Andy King's goal-scoring intervention off the bench at Barnsley earns him a starting berth in place of the injured Paul Gallagher, while Yuki Abe also comes into midfield in place of Neil Danns.

At right-back, there is a return to the side for Lee Peltier, who replaces Ghanaian John Pantsil on the right of City's otherwise-unchanged back four.

Brighton boss Gus Poyet keeps faith with the side that started last week's 1-0 win at Bristol City, as the Seagulls look to extend their lead at the division's summit.

City: Schmeichel, Peltier, Konchesky, Mills (c), Bamba, King, Vassell, Wellens, Beckford, Abe, Fernandes.

Subs: Dyer, St. Ledger, Weale, Danns, Schlupp.

Brighton: Ankergren, Greer (c), Dunk, Barnes, Noone, Mackail-Smith, Calderon, Harley, Dicker, Painter, Bridcutt.

Subs: Brezovan, Navarro, Vincelot, LuaLua, Buckley.

Referee: Graham Scott (Oxfordshire)

Win by at least goals 4 goals and we could be in the playoff positions by the end of the day. ;)

Suprised by Abe in for Danns. Would expect us to line up in a more of a diamond, and Danns played well in that before. With this though I guess Abe will sit, meaning Wellens can get forward more.

I'm optimistic today. Please don't let me disappointed again!

And I've not got a bet on us today :)

Arteta and Yakubu have both scored their first goals for their new clubs since leaving Everton on deadline day today. Omen? Tempted to put money on Beckford to score ;)

Brighton playing in fluorescent green. Should be able to see them coming.

We scored... but it's pulled back for a free kick to us. Feckin' hell.

And the resulting free kick goes out for a corner.

Alan Young is trying to say the ref should reverse his decision and let it go. Yeah, cos I'm sure they're allowed to do that.

And now suggesting that the ref should give us a penalty decision later in the game to even things up out of pity "...it's human nature"

And that our players should take a tumble because the ref would give it easily.

What was Alan Young like as a player? Because if he took his own advice, he must've been a disgusting player, but would've been good because he'd have run around a lot and kicked people

****ing hell, if there's a chance we the ref would give it having regretted his earlier decision I would be looking for it too, it's about getting 3 points you know.

I can't work it out at the match and don't have the radio so can someone tell me of we are playing 4-4-2 or not? I'm not sure whether to boo second half or not. I mean, it's been a good performance, but I need to know the numbers.
