Leicester City U18s 3 Charlton Athletic U18s 2
Posted on: Mon 21 Sep 2009

Leicester City U18s made it five out of five wins this season, after a physical encounter against Charlton Athletic U18s.

Jon Rudkin's men maintained their 100% record so far this season and were 2-0 up thanks to goals from Taft and Milne (pen). The home side fought back with strikes either side of half-time to threaten City's early dominance.

But the Foxes are made of sterner stuff and grabbed the winner midway through the second-half, through Chamberlain.

City will now be looking for win number six of the campaign at Belvoir Drive against Coventry on Saturday.

Team: Ambrusic, Moore, Taft, Milne, Parkes, Bolger, John, Norburn, Chamberlain, Yussef, Schlupp.

Subs: Hicks for Schlupp, Tebbutt for Norburn.

I don't really know anyone in the Academy team anymore, never tend to recognise the names, and even the ones I do, I don't really know anything about...

There also seems to be a lot less comment on Academy games as well. When we won it a few years ago there seemed to be a lot more comment, and more people going to the games... why not now?

Anyone got any scoop on the current crop? Who should we be looking out for, if anyone?

Maybe because the academy was the only successful part of the club?

Graz, they reckoned around 200 people were at the recent Arsenal home game. In fact, it's getting so overbearing they considering shutting the training ground.

That's an impressive attendance for such a game.
