why? It would be nice to go back to the good old days.

Would have to agree with you BG if I thought you meant the time when there was no segregation and no trouble. From your later comments I suspect you mean the time when people went to football grounds for trouble, with the football taking second place. I was sat with the Northampton fans yesterday and managed to sit on my hands and keep my mouth shut for 90 mins or I would no doubt have been thrown out. Not because I would have been causing any trouble but purely because, as happened yesterday, the Northampton fans would have got all territorial running half the length of the stand to confront opposing fans in 'their' stand and taking delight in having a fellow football fan ejected from the ground for the heinous crime of supporting the opposing team. Pathetic!!

There has always been trouble, always. It pre-dates the game itself.

Aye but lets hope we can stop most of them getting in .

The only way we can stop them getting in is by selling every ticket to a City fan who will use it.

I know what you are saying Boc, but why SHOULD Northampton give us more tickets? They'd already given us more than they give most away teams as it was. I would never go into a home area unless I knew I could keep meself quiet enough not to let it slip I was an away fan, and those who were daft enough to do so got themselves into a bit of bother.

I made that very point in balancing my argument in post #6 of the thread.

There were plenty of us at Millwall that day and we were able to keep ourselves quiet and out of trouble. Perhaps some of the pillocks who thought it was a good idea to show themselves yesterday should have tried it at the New Den.

You notice he didnt mention pork pie hat. He bought one ,waited three months and ate it.
