My tactics for this game are very simple.

Sit deep and compact with five at the back and three in central midfield and play entirely on the break.

Be very violent and aggressive with Chelsea players such as Palmer. Kick 'em early and kick 'em hard. Disrupt the tempo of the game as much as we can get away with. Go down for injuries etc.

Play with as much height in the team as possible because set pieces seem our best chance to score and they look vulnerable at them.

Proper old school scumbag behaviour.

Good grief, Saturday is going to be bad isn’t it.

Although you’d hope our big attacking summer signing might get a start in the midst of an injury crisis?

Yep how far we have fallen.

Don't you worry yourself

Stevie Cooper has had ages to plan for this match and will have definitely come up with a master plan. No way he will set up in exactly the same way as that would obviously be suicide

He's a top top manager, and we're lucky to have him

Absolutely agree with all of this. It's got to be about disruption because we can't go tow.ro.toe.with them. Make them have to work ****ing hard to get through us by being as rough as possible.

Honestly, I'd go so far to say that we should be rougher than a barebacking from homer.

I spent so long trying to work out who you mean, because I'd already put Eduoard in there.

Completely forgot about El Khannous.

We haven't got the bollocks to do that.

Change the system now that Fatawu is out.

Hermansen
Justin, Okoli, Vesty, Faes, Kristiansen
Soumare, Winks, Ndidi
Eduoard, Mavididi

It's shit but we don't seem to have many attacking options, so we have to put an extra defender in.

The squad is absolutely shit isn't it. ****ing hell.

Basically, be classic Bolton / Stoke.

The teams we struggled against most last season under Enzo didn't try to play it around (in fact, we completely trounced Southampton twice) but were compact and combative. That's what we need now. I'd go for:
Hermanson
Justin Coady Vestergaard Faes Kristiansen
Ayew Skipp Ndidi Mavididi
Daka

It'll be absolutely horrible

Yes, and yes.

We're gonna win. Jason Derulo says so.

Head-to-head

  • Leicester City have lost five and drawn one of the six meetings since they beat Chelsea 1-0 in the 2021 FA Cup final.
  • The Blues have won nine of their 13 visits to the King Power Stadium in all competitions, drawing two and losing two.
  • The most recent meeting was in last season’s FA Cup quarter-final, with Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea defeating Enzo Maresca’s Leicester 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.
Leicester City

  • Leicester are seeking their 500th top-flight home win.
  • The Foxes are winless in 13 Premier League games against sides starting the day in the top four, drawing three and losing 10 since a 1-0 win over Liverpool in December 2021.
  • Steve Cooper's side have conceded first in a league-high nine of their 11 top-flight matches this season.
  • However, they've scored in all six of their home fixtures.
  • Cooper is unbeaten in three previous Premier League clashes with Chelsea, winning one and drawing two.
  • Odsonne Edouard could make his 100th Premier League appearance.
Chelsea

  • Chelsea have registered one win and six points from their past five top-flight outings.
  • However, they have lost just two of their last 17 Premier League fixtures, winning 10 and drawing five.
  • The Blues have won one of their previous seven Premier League games following an international break, drawing three and losing three.
  • Enzo Maresca’s side have collected 10 of their 19 points away from home this term.
  • Cole Palmer has been directly involved in 10 goals in five Premier League appearances against promoted clubs, with six goals and four assists.
