Meh, a bit of fun. Felt like Liverpool wanted it more. We were shit for the last 25 mins or so.

We have no support from the central midfield in the final 3rd of the pitch. Sometimes it is like our forwards, play in a different game from the defence and central midfield. The full backs attempt to get forward but more often than not. We lose possession and are caught out. When Liverpool went forward it was 6 v 6 when we went forward it was 4 v 6 at best. Towards the end 2 or 3 v 6. We need a forward thinking midfield player to tie the team together.

Yep, been saying g this for a while.

We pose no threat through the middle and so it's easier to nullify.

I had hoped we'd address this but I have no faith that CS will change it.

Iheanacho?

Apart from Mahrez we create nothing.

When he goes we are completely fecked with this squad/this set up

£45 million for Sigurdsson was a bargain, in our situation

Im hoping we've got a few lined up that are not being runoured at the mo. If we go into the season with this squad and a manager learning the ropes then we are really gambling on others being really shit. The lack of rumours over replacements for Mahrez and Fuchs is odd.

I know it is only pre-season but here is what I feel so far. Maguire is a great signing and him playing with either Morgan or Huth is a massive improvement to our defence. So happy to see Matty James back - will be a great squad addition for midfield and together with Iborra that is like 2 new signings. Tom Lawrence is not ready yet and maybe just a very good Championship player - sell him if we can get some good money for him. Musa got little playing time so tough to comment but not feeling he is good for us. Gray is really going to have to step up to his obvious potential if Mahrez goes. Can't wait to get Iheanacho in next week. All in all very encouraged with the signings and we could easily be challenging for Europa league places. Big question mark about Slimani - just can't make my mind up on this one so maybe time to cash in if we can get anywhere close to what we paid for him

I think Lawrence is worth holding onto for now at least. Musa I would let go if we can. Slimani is clearly a real threat aerially, again we don't need to be in a hurry to sell and I think the club is right in looking to recoup as much of that £30m as possible if he is to move on. I feel like apart from the obvious extra CB we probably need, we should also be looking at adding a creative central player - whether that be a center mid or a 'Rooney' esque #10. Once Mahrez gets his move we are going to be struggling for creativity. We still have that counter attacking threat and won a title off it but now I think to move to the next level we need to build on that and look to be able to pull the strings a bit more against the big boys and a creative man in the middle will help wonders towards making us less one dimensional.

Salami can't kick a ball so if we're only going to have one winger (as things are) this season then it seems a waste to keep him if we can get some sponds. Unless they rip up the offside rule and our punts from defence can reach the 6 yard box.
