I wonder if that's "full strength" and rotated? We shall see. It's going to be interesting. Also from Man City's perspective. They could perhaps afford to risk resting players next weekend and going 'full strength' here. I'm sure the thought of winning everything appeals.

We have to put out our strongest team this evening, and that means starting with Shinji behind Vardy, with Gray on the bench to be used as a second half impact sub.

As many have said, this is our best chance of winning anything this season, any talk of resting players is, in my opinion, utterly ridiculous.

I have no idea why anyone would want to see anything other than a full strength team out tonight. This cup marks our best chance to win something, why wouldn't we take it seriously? We are a world away from being relegation candidates but a top six finish is pie in the sky. I have my misgivings about Puel despite the successful start but I thunk he'll be proactive in looking to put on a show of some kind tonight after one of the worst performances I have seen for a long, long time.

Interesting how people are viewing this differently to me. All valid opinions of course and easy to argue either way.

From my perspective, the league comes first. If we had a few points less, and the standard above us was a bit better, I'd probably agree with targeting this competition. However, I genuinely feel we can finish a few places higher in the league.

If we play a strong side tonight, we will risk injuries and fatigue more than if we rested a few - especially with our schedule over the next couple of weeks. We will also likely lose even if we play our best line up - not because I don't think we can win, just because I thought we were pretty dire tactically against Man City a few weeks ago and I don't expect to see different tonight.

I think we can beat Man Utd on Saturday. I also think we could do without a couple of extra matches in January if we got through unless we did a full rotation then too.

So, I'm still for a full rotation tonight. What I can't understand is any thought of a half and half team. Weaken us and still tire some first choice players out - where is the sense in that? If we don't make wholesale changes, we should go with our strongest side.

We aren't going to win the league
Only chance of silverware, is either this cup or the FA cup.
Only 8 teams left in this cup, why not us?

In Claude I trust :)

This has long been my stance. Do it one way, or the other, but don’t do a half job. That defeats the object of the exercise completely.

But time we won this cup again.

Get into them this time rather than standing off and watching them tickle our bellies like last time
