Well if that is true then he's not a very good manager at all. In fact, he'd be a ****ing coward. I don't think it is however. I think it's a manager who is learning and, hopefully, taking into account his mistakes to date. This is good news.

I do genuinely think he's the kind of manager who does things his way despite any loud voices.

Like I say, I just think he realises we have to do something to stop conceding in the same way. It'll be interesting if nothing else, to see if we can defend better from attacks down our flanks.

I think it's the team most fans want to see, and I wonder if that's part of his thinking in this lineup.

Home game against a rival that will also be a league rival this season too.

Our fans are pretty quiet, and quick to get on the teams back. He's no doubt aware of the lineup the fans want.

I wonder if part of his selection decision is give the fans what they want to get the energy levels in the ground up, as that can change the game itself.
