I don’t disagree with that, but if it means shoe horning them into a formation that has been largely unsuccessful this season, I don’t think we should be starting out best 11 fit players.

Albrighton instead of Soyuncu who hasn’t had a great last few games, and we could have gone 4-2-3-1

You don't risk playing any less than 3 cb's against this lot.

Fofana will step out of the back a lot, the full backs will be pushed on when appropriate and we have, in theory, 3 strikers on the pitch.

I get that. It’s hard to be too critical when we have so many injuries, so I understand it. I think I’d just prefer not to do it still.

This isn't a defensive formation

It will be more or less 3-4-1-2 I assume, with Perez as the one and Ricardo and Castagne probably staying very high up the pitch.

Sheff Utd I'm sure will be setup to try and stop us attacking, but we've got 3 defenders who are good on the ball to build from the back - which some will hate and I'm sure within the first 10 mins will be complaining about backwards/sideways/slow passing - but that's often how you have to play to break teams down and work an opening. Especially without players like Barnes and Maddison available...

I feel sorry for Tavares though. I would have left him in and Perez on the bench, yet he's out of the squad altogether?

There's no one on the bench I would rather have starting. And if you put Albrighton in for one of the centre backs, we have no one to play on the other wing anyway
