Yes, don't think many managers of a decent quality would have been too keen to take on the task that faces Puel. He deserves our support and backing that's why I found a lot of the comments in the West Ham match thread so lacking in understanding of the situation that faces Puel in trying to manage fairly gradual change in selection and getting the team to play more possession football in the knowledge that there is no quick fix.

I think Amartey extra height is needed until we can sort out our set piece defending, he also offers more going forward than Simpson and Gray needs to play from the right so he and Mahrez can keep switching to bring the best out of both
