There are so, so many problems with xG as a statistic to measure any ****ing thing of any meaning or consequence whatsover. Watching the games is probably a better way of observing what goes on. The truth is, we created plenty of chances to win the game against Middlesbrough (or at least score) and against Leeds we hit the bar, their keeper made a world class save and we had two other glorious chances to score.0.8 xG against Middlesbrough. 0.65 against Leeds.
We've not created enough clear chances even in the games we've won.
The system isn't preventing our strikers from scoring goals, our strikers are preventing the system from being effective because they are either completely incompetent or are having to drop too deep because players like Casadei are ineffective.
