I’d play the same formation as against Arsenal. This won’t be a popular opinion but I’d bring Morgan back in for Evans. He would get on better with a back 3 I think, and Evans was absolutely abysmal against Arsenal and has been since he joined.

I don't get this obsession with 3 at the back. The only team to have played it recently has been an England team that were clear that they were doing this only due to the lack of a playmaking no.10. In the last round of international matches they've reverted to a back four thanks to the emergence of two no.10s, one of whom plays for...

for me its about a lack of quality wingers, Gray is the only one I have any faith in and he is far from consistent enough right now, this way at least gives our attacking full backs the cover to provide the width and gets a second striker in the side

We need a second playmaker in CM in my opinion and he’s the best option
The problem is that he isn't a playmaker when he has his back to goal constantly and gives the ball away every 5 minutes. That's what we've seen of him this far. Mendy wasn't great against Arsenal but I'd take him over Silva every day. I absolutely agree with you on Soyuncu over Evans.

you're exaggerating that a bit, we need more creativity, creative players will lose the ball, the alternative is what people hate, side ways negative passing, like any other player he needs a run of games to truly get to know the runs others make, we constantly bring the likes of him and Gray in for a game or 2 them bomb them out, they need the Chilwell treatment, put them in and leave them in

I agree with the sentiment, I really do. I think however we have seen enough of Silva to know that he isn't that kind of player. Mendy looks to get forward and create things far more than I've ever seen Silva try to. Silva seems to need a lot of time and space to be creative and he won't get that in the Premier League.

Exactly. Albrighton hasn’t done much in a while, and Diabate and Ghezzal make my eyes bleed.

3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2 resolves our poor choice in wingers.

he doesn't need to get forward to do it, his role would be to provide the likes of Maddison (and wingers in that system) and also take some pressure off of him by having a second player, he could do it from deeper providing a better passer for when we have the chance to counter too, even if its not Silva we need that type of midfielder alongside Wilf

I think 3-5-2 is the right system for us because of the players we've got.

We need to be stronger at the back, we need more in the middle of the park, we lack decent wingers, and both of our full backs are better at attacking than defence.

I can't see it happening, but seeing him the other day reminds me why I want to see Shinji more involved again. I think playing him instead of Nacho would give us more creativity and energy in the middle of the park, and by playing 2 players who will be moving for space 'in the hole' will pull defenders out of position and create more space for Vardy to run into.

Nacho is a decent finisher but I'm not sure offers enough else, and we're not creating enough chances to play him while Vardy is the better finisher and bigger all round threat.

So I'd go for:

Schmeichel

Amartey
Maguire
Evans

Ricardo
Mendy
Ndidi
Chilwell

Maddison
Okazaki

Vardy
