Yes - this is a shame. Financial damage already which mocks the efforts that have been made like bringing in Razzaq. The attendances for the championship games and the CB40 have looked better this season but obviously the main 'gate' revenue is from the T20.

We've had all this rubbish from the media and the weather forecasters re a dry summer but since April the cricket weather has been very poor.

The weather forecast was so bad that the match always looked doomed. So bad that I knew it was pointless to travel. Hopefully the financial consequences were slightly mitigated by some play actually taking place. I just don't want to hear any more weather forecasters making absurd statements about 'welcome rain'. In fact I'd rather have a total drought for the rest of the season and lmake the water companies become professional at managing water supply in this soggy country. I spent a lot of time living in Spain - wall to wall sun for much of the year and very little moaning there about threats to water supply.
