New season starts tomorrow. Anyone know any team news yet. Dippenear and Du Preez to miss the game, as still involved in games in SA.

Sorry to spam but I've written up a season preview on my newly created blog http://leicestershirefoxes.blogspot.com/

I guess I'm kind of right about depth already. We have three of our top players missing and bring in DuToit, Cummins and Rowe to replace them. I expect Middlesex to win comfortably (unless the rain saves us)

48-1 at lunch. Malik and Cummins didn't sound very impressive. Rowe with the wicket. Lawson came on first change. Maybe still getting over jet lag :102:

Okay, without fear of being shot down, the term Kolpak, I only here of it within cricketing circles. What is it all about? Why the animosity towards it/them?

It's all to do with digital photography overtaking the analogue version.

Not so many rolls of film anymore.

The Kolpak rule allows nationalities with an associate agreement with the EU, to work in the UK, without restriction. So basically its meant more foreign players come to the Uk.

Decent day for Leics I think. 257/5 against such a strong batting line up and after Middlesex won the toss. Middlesex are still on top, but it could have been a lot worse. I expected a lot worse.

Lawson didn't do much, did he?

Par for the course for one of our overseas strike bowlers in recent seasons :icon_roll

To be fair though that middlesex batting line up is a class apart when compared to our side and they will pile up plenty of runs this season.

257-5 is a good comeback. Sounded like we didn't bowl at all well today. The guy on commentary said our attack 'looked pedestrian'. I think when the 2 SA kolpaks arrive we'll have a little bit more menace about us!

I see Ramps made it 102* at close, his 98th century.

Why didn't he get called up in the winter :bang:
