Lennon has been trying to warn petrov off moving to england to play his football, fair enough couldnt give two shit really, however when he feels the need to say this:

"but whether he is going to better himself- well it depends on where he goes.
he has to go to oneof the big clubs. IVE PLAYED DOWN THERE AT LEICESTER AND IT IS NOT ALL IT'S CRACKED UP TO BE"

shove that comment right back up your arse you fecker. obviously since we plucked you from obscurity and gave a career worth having you have become to big for your own boots. Not all its cracked up to be- you just remember who made you who you are.

i loved lennon and wouldnt have minded him ina coaching role when the managment was up in the air. and although some may not see this comment as anything to report and rave about, i think it's something he should have kept to himself.

I wanna know what it is cracked up to be. Shed any light anyone?

I dont think he is having a pop at Leicester, Lako, he genuinely has an affection for the club, I think he is alluding to the fact that Celtic are a massive club and that Petrov needs to be careful who he signs for, as he could make a mistake and join a club that then feels like a downward step. I think Lennon is basically saying unless it is one of the massive clubs stay where you are.

What he is saying is that it is better to be a big fish in a small shitty pond, than a minnow in a big pond where you will get swallowed up and go unnoticed

Its fish, fish, fish with you isn't it!!

ok maybe i got the wrong end of the stick, was just looking for someone to hate as there hasnt been many recently.

and the people in this plaice just keep changing the codding subject

I wouldn't read to much into that he's just trying to put off one of his team's best players moving elsewhere

More on the above story.

Taking Time
Says want-away Celtic midfielder Stilian Petrov:

"I made the decision a while ago - I want to test myself at a new level. I'm in a comfort zone. I want to see if I can step up a gear."

Mediawatch is unsure whether 'a while ago' means before or after the Bulgarian signed a new four-year contract in January.

Talking Of Which
Says Neil Lennon:

"Personally I don't want to see him go and I will try to change his mind. But I have not had a chance to nail him yet."

Suddenly Stilian's assertion that "it's not about the money" is more believable.

he is probably being sensible as the english league is of much better quality and you have to play nearly every week against professionals. petrov is the kind of player who would leave celtic and end up at portsmouth, fulham or some other team willing to pay wages but with little ambition or direction. anyone think of a player leaving celtic to move south of the border recently and making a success of it?
