According to the Daily Star
"BIG-SPENDING Leicester are trying to hijack Swansea’s deal for Middlesbrough striker Leroy Lita by offering £15,000-a-week wages."
Did you check the date onf this news ? It wasn't 2009 by any chance:icon_wink
I think he's potentially better than any we've currently got. Doesn't fire my flame though.
Not relevant. Most players would have done the same at the time.Turned us down for Boro a few years back
He's currently the only one of the three being pursued by a Premier League side.is he a striker u would guarantee 20 goals (eg Maynard/Yak)
Why is Maynard so essential?only acceptable scenario (if this is true) would be as replacement for Waggy and were getting Maynard

Clearly Sven wants Maynard, but I suspect he has other plans if it doesn't come off. If he didn't, I'd be interested to know why.is Maynard so essential?, our boss seems to think so!, but obviously not as good as Lita cos Swansea are after him
No, but if a striker doesn't score 20 goals in his first game the Kop will boo him off.Do we need a 20 goal a season striker?
****ing hell, if we were offered Lita at any point during the last two seasons most people would be wetting themselves with excitement. I assume all the negative attitudes are due to it being silly season.

Lita got 12 last season, only 4 at the Riverside ....
Though I don't expect SGE to do this, I'm still a huge Waggy fan and I'd stick with him, and I'm sure he would return to the form and better, he showed season before last after Matty got injured.
Failing that, the loan circus will start up in earnest in a couple of weeks, something will turn up one way or another.
